Father uses what son considers unsafe tools. The climax can be a tool breaking, nearly hurting Nicholas, not even Gregory, but largely Gregory’s fault for using unsale tools. Gregory is inspired to get nice things because of the guilty he feels. Or, maybe he had always wanted to, but needed an excuse.
